CUBIC HARMONICS

THE MUSIC MODE. THE NOTES COME TO THE CORNERS. PRESS THEM ON THE BEAT.

The same chart every day: a track can be learned. Sound is the page's own 1997 synth; the melody sounds only on a note you hit.

HOW. The notes leave the cube and travel to a corner. Press that corner when the note reaches the lit arc: inside 50 ms is CUBIC (100), inside 100 ms is HONORED (60), inside 160 ms is LATE (30), and every note in a row adds up to 40 more. A long note is a HOLD: keep the corner pressed until its tail arrives, for 50 more. Two notes at once are a CHORD: two corners together. A press with no note breaks the row. Nothing costs a day here; the track ends when the music does, and you are graded: WISEST from 95%, CUBIC from 85%, HONORED from 70%, EDUCATED STUPID below.

Scores stay in this browser for now. The board is not yet live; when it is, its daily pool is paid there and never on a track, and per-track boards come when the Worker carries them. A sponsored track is a chart with an artist's name on it, on this synth, and nothing more: see the rate card.

TIMING. The judge listens on the audio clock and subtracts what the browser reports as output latency. If the notes still feel early or late, nudge it: 0 ms (positive if you are told LATE while you feel on time). Press Esc to leave a track; it does not count.
